Update

I'm not sure if anyone is still looking here at all for updates. But if you are, here is a long over due update.

Freya was misdiagnosed with Cushing's disease by an emergency vet.  So for about a year or so, Freya was given medicine she didn't need. Her energy level decreased over time and her weight dropped too much. I was finally able to convince my primary vet to look into it again.

After a few days of no meds, Freya's energy level popped back up.  She's back to a healthy weight. The only bad side effect was that not all the outer layer of fur grew back on the sides of her tummy from the ultrasound.

Freya is now almost 11-1/2 years. She is still spry with the spunky attitude when I first met her. My terms of endearment for Freya are "sweet pea", "squush", and "little one".  She likes to sleep in when I do, cuddle next to me on the bed.

Freya is easily one of the coolest dogs I've ever had the honor to be their pet guardian. She is definitely on of the smartest.

One Year Later

Wow I can't believe I haven't posted anything in so long.  It was the beginning of May that daddy sent me to spend a couple of days with my friends, Loki and Lacey.  But when he picked me up and brought me home, only Sandi (the kitty) was there.  My big brother, Grendarr, wasn't there.  Daddy seemed really sad.  I over heard daddy telling Sandi that Grendarr wasn't coming back in; that he was in heaven.  Then daddy picked up Sandi and told her that he missed Grendarr too.  :(

Since then daddy and I have gotten to spend a lot more time together.  I get to go outside more often and play with dad a lot more too.  :)

The Visitors - Not the Lizard Aliens

Well my grandma, da Mama, and my "cousin" Nick came down to visit me. Nick is a little skittish around me. I think he thinks I might bite him or something. And da Mama thinks she's the queen in *my* house! I can't complain ... I get good stuff to eat. :)

I found one of my new favorite snacks ... blueberries! They're yummy just like strawberries and raspberries.

Belated Happy New Years 2011

Happy New Years, everyone!! I have good news. Daddy took me to the puppy doctor last Monday and I'm in good health. Dr. Marty said I have plaque build up on my back teeth though. She suggested it was time I came in for teeth cleaning. Elana told dad about some treats by Purina that worked really well to get the stuff off her pups teeth. I hope dad finds them; I don't like the puppy doctor enough to stay there by myself.
